My Wine

Should you choose this night to dine,
I have three bottles of the finest wine,
and cheese, smooth, or sharp in the dish
As you Wish Buttercup - As You Wish

And if you choose something else to nibble
I will endeavor to valiantly scribble
While quickly my limbs begin to twitch
and you scratch my melancholy itch


The Wenchs Reply

I could choose this night to dine,
With you, your cheese and wine
But another has prepared a place
With lavender pillows, and patchouli lace

So go and find some one else to nibble
Or look for something inane to scribble
For soon it’s my limbs that will twitch
And you left alone, with your pitiful itch

if only you knew the motivation behind this - you'd laugh all the harder - at me, I was the poor dog, who penned the first verse, and my night was, well, less than I hoped for....
